Our Perth and Kinross Project supports adults over 16, who are resident in Perth and Kinross and who identify as disabled or a carer who want to learn digital skills. We have a great team of volunteers who can support learners one to one, or you may be supported by our learning coordinator who is the Learning Coordinator for this area. Our services are free, person-centred and confidential, and we will support you to learn the things that matter to you. We can either support you on equipment you already own, or we can offer you an equipment loan if you don’t own any equipment or would like to try something new.
You can contact, Katie, our local Learning Coordinator by email perth@lead.org.uk or phone 07775851507 with the contact details of the person you wish to refer. Alternatively you can get in touch by completing the Perth and Kinross Project contact form.
Quotes from our Perthshire learners:
“I can now use my tablet to go online and see family photos. I felt I was always missing out on seeing them.”
“I am learning how to use the iPad so I can help Simon who has a visual impairment. I was impressed that Lead Scotland not only give Simon one to one support in our house, but they help me too as a carer. We have both learned so much and can share things together like audio books and music. We have planned holidays using our iPad and Simon uses it as a radio. Our quality of life has definitely improved”.
We are always looking for more volunteers to support our projects. We have a range of roles that can suit your available time and experience. We can provide training, out of pocket expenses and opportunities to our volunteers which are as fulfilling as they are rewarding. For more information please see our volunteering page.
